Tampines West MRT station is an underground MRT station on the Downtown Line in Tampines, Singapore. It is located at Tampines Avenue 4, near the junction with Tampines Avenue 1.
The station is located near some schools such as Temasek Polytechnic, Jun Yuan Primary School and East View Primary School, as well as SAFRA Tampines, and to the housing estates of Tampines Palmspring and Tampines Polyview.

SAFRA Tampines is a club located in the eastern Singaporean town of Tampines, part of the larger SAFRA National Service Association network which offers social, sports, and recreational facilities for national servicemen. Opened in 1988, it is the oldest SAFRA clubhouse, featuring a variety of amenities including a gym, swimming pool, futsal court, games room, and numerous F&B outlets like Springleaf Prata Place and SuperBowl.

About SAFRA Tampines
Established: 1988.
Significance: It is the oldest clubhouse in the SAFRA network.
Part of SAFRA: SAFRA Tampines is one of several SAFRA clubs across Singapore, which were formed to improve morale and camaraderie among national servicemen.

In mid-1980, plans were made for St Hilda’s School to relocate to Tampines as two schools, a Primary and a Secondary, due to the increasing demand for better facilities to meet future needs of the students. In 1990, St Hilda’s Primary School and St Hilda’s Secondary School were officially opened by the late Dr Tay Eng Soon, then Minister for Education.
